Language Matters Webinar

NUAA, in collaboration with NADA, invites you to an engaging webinar exploring Version 2 of the Language Matters Guidelines. This essential resource provides practical guidance on using respectful, person-centred language when working in the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) sector.

Language is powerful—especially when discussing alcohol and other drugs and the people who use them. The right words can empower clients, reduce stigma, and foster meaningful engagement across the AOD landscape.

The session will be moderated by NUAA's Program and Policy Lead, Angie Kocsisek and speakers will include Dr. Robert Stirling, CEO of NADA, Kate Johnson, LLE peer leader and Dr. Hestor Wilson, Chief Addiction Medicine Specialist, Centre for Alcohol and Other Drugs, Ministry of Health
