First Nations communities bring deep knowledge and cultural strength to the AOD and harm reduction sector. Yet too often, their voices are marginalised in mainstream AOD policy and service delivery.
This EXPAND session invites three key speakers working across different areas of AOD to share their experiences. They include Bec Riseley, our Aboriginal Peer Outreach Specialist at NUAA, Raechel Wallace, the Aboriginal Program Manager at NADA, and Leeton McGuiness, a Therapeutic Worker at The Glen. We encourage participants to listen deeply and to learn from First Nations leaders, health professionals, and community advocates as they share lived experiences, cultural approaches to healing, and insights into what works and what doesn’t in AOD support systems.
Join us to listen deeply, learn from lived experiences, and lead meaningful change.
