This is a great opportunity for an Aboriginal Peer Educator to share your lived experience and professional knowledge within a structured education package. The aim of the project is to raise awareness of blood borne viruses, link people to clinical services and extend the project throughout Penrith, Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury regions. International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) is a world wide event held every year on the 31st August. The aim is to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of a drug-related death. It also recognises the grief that families and friends feel remembering those who they have lost to overdose or drug related death.
