Needle & Syringe Program

NUAA’s Needle and Syringe Program (NSP), located at 345 Crown St, Surry Hills, is open every weekday for you to access new injecting equipment or drop off used equipment. We are open from 8am to 8pm each day (no breaks!). There is a machine outside the front to help you access equipment outside of these hours. The machine costs $3.00 and supplies 3x1ml Syringes, water, cotton, spoon, and swabs.

NUAA’s NSP supplies a wide range of injecting equipment not regularly supplied at most NSPs. Click here to see what we have on offer, or call the NSP direct on (02) 8354 7343 or free call 1800 644 413.

The NSP is also now home to a Open Clinic on Crown, a nurse-led primary health care clinic that is a collaboration of NUAA and the Kirketon Road Centre. It runs Monday to Friday 11;30am-3:30pm as a contribution to providing affordable, accessible and equitable health care to all parts of our community.

If you are looking for a NSP closer to you in NSW, check out this up to date directory of all NSP locations in NSW managed by the Ministry of Health.

Or if you are looking for NSPs Australia-wide, AIVL (Australian Injecting & Illicit Drug Users League) also have an Australian NSP Guide. If you are travelling interstate, use the search function to find NSPs Australia-wide.
